Receiver Appointed Over Ortino Group Following $18.5-Million Default
On May 21, 2026, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) appointed AlixPartners Restructuring, Inc. (formerly KSV Restructuring Inc.) as receiver and manager over the assets, undertakings and properties of Adriel Ortino Corp., ADD Equipment Corp., Aden Disposal Corp., AE3 Excavating Corp., AEON Landscaping Corp., All Seasons Gardening & Maintenance Ltd., Anthony’s Excavating and Grading Ltd., HC & C Contracting Inc. and Shilson Excavation & Trucking Inc. (collectively, the “Ortino Group”) on an application by Bank of Montreal.
The receivership followed defaults under the Ortino Group’s credit facilities, with Bank of Montreal owed approximately $18.5 million. The court found that the borrowers had ceased meaningful operations following ongoing financial and reporting defaults, unsuccessful forbearance efforts and liquidity shortfalls. KSV Restructuring Inc. was appointed to realize on the Ortino Group’s assets, including its landscaping, excavation and construction equipment.
