In recognition of International Women’s Day, hear from four women lawyers whose involvement in sport has positioned them for success in their personal and professional lives, and led to leadership positions in law and on boards of sports organizations.

Considerable headway has been made in the advancement of equal and fair opportunities for women and girls in sports and recreation. From the field of play, to media, to decision-making tables, women are playing an increasingly influential role. Our speakers will provide first-hand examples about how their participation in sport has helped to bolster their confidence, amplify their voices and position them as leaders, both on and off the field.

We invite you to join us to learn about how involvement in sport, ranging from coaching to board positions, can open the door to new possibilities in the legal profession and other fields of endeavour.

We invite you to ask your family, friends, teammates and contacts who are passionate about sport and leadership to join us for this discussion.

Topics include:

Why it’s important for girls and women to be involved in sport

How participating in sport through various roles and levels can benefit your community, your well-being and your career

The importance of access and inclusion

How to get involved
