The Jordan Company to Acquire Majority Stake in Specialty Building Products from Madison Dearborn Partners

The Jordan Company, L.P., a private equity firm situated in Chicago and New York, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Specialty Building Products, LLC (“SBP”), a leading distributor of specialty building products in North America. The Sellers of SBP were various funds affiliated with Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC. SBP is an industry leader with strong market presence throughout the United States and Canada under the brands U.S. LUMBER, Alexandria Moulding, Midwest Lumber and Mid-State Lumber.
