Canadian Frozen Foods Company BRR Logistics Files for Bankruptcy
On January 31, 2024, BRR Logistics Limited, a Brampton, Ontario-based company that operates a frozen foods sale and logistics business, filed a Notice of Intention pursuant to subsection 50.4(6) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. The proposal proceedings were initiated in response to a wave of financial challenges for BRR, which included significant pressures posed by the grocery supply chain and the loss of key distributor contracts with certain customers. BDO Canada Limited, a professional assurance, tax and consulting services company that serves communities across Canada, consented to act as the trustee under the proposal proceedings.
