Melissa Miceli

Land Use Planner

Melissa is a land use planner in the firm’s Municipal & Land Use Planning Group.

Melissa supports a wide range of private and public sector clients by providing advice on land use planning matters and development proposals. She conducts research on planning policy and provides opinions on zoning compliance.  

Melissa is experienced in preparing and managing development applications, including Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments, Consents and Minor Variance Applications. Melissa works with client teams, coordinates with a range of consultants and liaises with municipal staff and regulatory agencies to secure planning approvals in the Greater Toronto Area and across Ontario. This includes the review of municipal and agency comments, the coordination of project resubmission packages and the preparation of materials for public and City Council meetings. Melissa also assists the firm’s municipal lawyers with the preparation and filing of appeals to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (formerly the Ontario Municipal Board). She prepares draft by-laws, document books, exhibits, notices and supporting materials for hearings.
