Reem recently completed her first year at Queen’s University Faculty of Law. She has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University (Psychology with a minor in Life Sciences). Throughout her undergraduate degree, Reem was involved in multiple research projects focused on promoting healthy relationships in youth. For her undergraduate thesis, Reem measured daily fluctuations in happiness in adolescents during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, and she found that supportive family relationships predicted higher levels of happiness in adolescents on a daily basis. Her thesis received a Certificate of Excellence from the Canadian Psychological Association, and was recognized as the top entry in Psychology across North America by the Global Undergraduate Awards. Upon graduation, Reem was awarded the Medal in Psychology for achieving the highest academic standing in the program. In her first year of law school, Reem volunteered as a mentor to undergraduate students interested in law, and as a Logistics Coordinator with the Queen’s Disability and Mental Health Law Club. In her free time, Reem enjoys going on hikes, baking cookies and spending quality time with her loved ones.
