Jacob is a skilled advocate who takes pride in carefully distilling complex factual and legal issues into straightforward and persuasive submissions. Clients appreciate his sound judgment as well as his dedication to resolving disputes efficiently and, wherever possible, without litigation.

Jacob is a member of the firm’s Tax Group and Tax Controversy/Tax Litigation Group. He has experience assisting clients in all aspects of the tax dispute resolution process. His practice also includes advising and representing clients under audit, making disclosures under the Canada Revenue Agency’s Voluntary Disclosures Program, challenging collection action by tax authorities, as well as making requests for interest and penalty relief and other discretionary remedies.

Before joining Aird & Berlis, Jacob was a senior tax litigation associate at a national law firm affiliated with one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
