Jake is dedicated to providing exceptional client service on routine and complex commercial real estate transactions. He combines his technical expertise with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, and offers thoughtful advice that is sensitive to the specific needs of his clients and the matter at hand. 

Jake is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Group. His practice focuses on the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate involving a number of asset classes and transaction structures, including portfolio and share transactions. He also advises clients on limited partnerships and co-ownership arrangements, financings and land transfer tax matters.

Jake has extensive experience acting on behalf of several of Canada’s leading real estate investment firms, developers and operators.

Counsel to the purchaser of a $130 million, 5.5 acre development site in Mimico.

Counsel to the purchaser of a $270 million, 2,800,000 square foot portfolio of industrial properties in Atlantic Canada.

Counsel to a co-owner of a leasehold interest in a mixed-use, 7 acre development site in Scarborough.

Counsel to the purchaser of an $80 million, 400,000 square foot portfolio of industrial properties in Quebec.

Counsel to the purchaser of a $60 million,  290,000 square foot portfolio of industrial properties in Cambridge.

Counsel to a real estate investment firm in connection with the formation of an investment fund and the related vend-in of a portfolio of properties and land transfer tax filings. 

Counsel to the purchaser of a 100,000 square foot office building in Toronto.

Counsel to the purchaser of a 250,000 square foot industrial building in Oakville.

Counsel to the purchaser of two industrial buildings in Whitby totalling 260,000 square feet.
