Geri Lonergan is a litigation law clerk with over 35 years of experience. Geri’s practice focuses on providing assistance to the firm’s clients in complex litigation involving intellectual property, commercial matters and professional negligence. Her clerking experience includes proceedings under Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulation and matters heard before the Ontario Superior Court and Federal courts.
Geri has specialized expertise and interest in e-discovery and has managed projects, including working with outside scanning/coding companies for larger out-of-office projects to organize materials in files for electronic databases. She has also assisted in loading databases, scanning and coding documents.
Geri has proficient knowledge of various e-discovery tools, such as IPro Eclipse and AccessData Summation and holds related certifications, including Summation Certified Enduser (SCE), Summation Certified Case Manager (SCCM) and Summation Certified Administrator (SCA).
Geri has acted as a mentor to junior law clerks and has created, presented and implemented training courses to update litigation procedures, Federal and Ontario rules and e-discovery staff training.
Geri has been a member of The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO) since 2000 and completed the Litigation Support, Document Management, ILCO Fellowship Course in 2009.
