Black Excellence in Law: Exploring Opportunities in the Legal Profession

Internal Speakers: Somto (George) Ibenegbu - Legal Assistant, Marsha Laing-Kerr - Senior Manager Finance

The goal of this virtual event is to show Black youth that the sky really is the limit when it comes to career paths. Each of our panellists will bring their unique voice to the session and speak to the numerous employment opportunities available in the legal sector. Discussions will focus on an array of professions, as well as workplace culture. Students will take away knowledge regarding administrative and legal positions, including information outlining what a law clerk does, what patent agents are and the requirements for becoming a lawyer in Ontario. This informative session will feature a roster of professionals who are part of the Black Community, aiming to empower, educate and inspire as many young Black lives as possible.
