Archive Now Available!
April 3, 2018 was the day a significant portion of the Building Better Communities and Conserving Watersheds Act, 2017 (Bill 139), was proclaimed in force. As of that date, the Ontario Municipal Board will be continued as the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. The Ontario Municipal Board Act will be repealed. The new Local Planning Appeal Tribunal Act, 2017 comes into effect and makes a number of changes to the process of seeking and appealing land use planning approvals throughout Ontario.
In this webinar, municipal lawyers Patrick Harrington and Leo Longo provide an up-to-date practical overview of LPAT and what lies ahead for both landowners and municipal authorities under Ontario’s new planning approvals.
- How do LPAT's Rules of Practice and Procedure differ from the OMB's rules?
- How does transition regulation O.Reg. 101/18 affect current applications and appeals?
