Reaction Dynamics and Galaxia Sign Historic Commercial Multi-Launch Services Agreement
On May 29, 2025, Reaction
Dynamics (RDX), a Canadian launch company, and Galaxia, a Canadian company
developing advanced satellite communications solutions, announced the signing
of a historic commercial orbital multi-launch services agreement. This landmark
announcement marks a major milestone for Canada’s space industry, representing
the first commercial contract to fly Canadian-made satellites aboard
Canadian-built rockets.
The agreement paves the way for
Reaction Dynamics to kick off its commercial operations using the Aurora-8
launch system. As part of this launch campaign, Galaxia will deploy its pilot
mission, Lancer-1, along with several hosted payloads serving both Canadian and
international customers.
Aird & Berlis advised Reaction Dynamics with a team led by Marek Lorenc, Partner and Founding Chair of the firm’s Space Tech Group.
