Genève is an experienced corporate lawyer who brings strategic insight to the fast-paced nature of mergers and acquisitions. She is known for her initiative and leadership, fostering strong relationships with clients, colleagues and opposing counsel to move deals forward and deliver effective results. Genève combines technical skill and commercial insight, leading deal teams with the practical judgment that results in successful transactions.

Genève is a member of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial and Mergers & Acquisitions Groups. Her practice focuses on private equity M&A transactions, including bolt-on acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, minority investments and exits. Genève advises portfolio companies across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, technology, manufacturing and consumer goods. Beyond private equity, Genève provides legal guidance on acquisitions and divestitures, strategic investments and corporate reorganizations.

Genève also has expertise in capital markets matters, including domestic and cross-border public offerings, reverse takeovers and plans of arrangement. She counsels Canadian public companies in sectors such as mining, life sciences, retail and technology on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and general commercial issues. Genève has experience negotiating and drafting detailed transaction provisions and agreements, including waterfall arrangements, indemnities, voting rights and purchase price calculations, as well as purchase, merger and shareholder agreements.
