The New Construction Act: What You Need to Know

The Construction Lien Act, now renamed the Construction Act, received Royal Assent on December 12, 2017. The amendments to the Construction Lien Act and holdback rules came into effect on July 1, 2018, while the new prompt payment and adjudication processes, and amendments related to liens against municipalities, will come into effect on October 1, 2019. Join Sam Babe and Courtney Raphael of Aird & Berlis as they discuss the modernization of the Act.
