Andy Nguyen

Associate Admitted to the Ontario Bar: 2020

Andy enjoys helping clients achieve their goals. He works collaboratively with peers, stakeholders and clients to solve complex problems.

Andy is an associate and member of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial and Privacy & Data Security Groups. His practice includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing as well as regulatory, licensing and intellectual property matters. Andy also advises on privacy and data security matters, including the implementation and structuring of privacy policies, data retention policies and data breach containment. He has specialized expertise serving clients in the technology, health-care and financial sectors

Before law school, Andy was recognized as one of 100 Canadian leaders under 25 by the Parliament of Canada for his extensive community work involving underprivileged youth throughout the GTA. In this capacity, Andy published policy suggestions for legislation aiming to improve outcomes for at-risk youth. He developed several programs, including local food drives, music workshops and leadership conferences, that continue to operate throughout Toronto. He takes great pride in volunteering his time in community efforts and continues to mentor at-risk youth in underserved communities throughout Toronto. 

Andy summered and articled at Aird & Berlis before joining the firm as an associate.
