About
Sanj is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group and Financial Services Group. He assists private companies, financial institutions and asset-based lenders, directors, officers and shareholders with their most complex commercial problems. These include disputes arising from commercial transactions, internal corporate disagreements, fraudulent conduct and real estate matters.
Sanj is also regularly retained to conduct internal investigations for his clients to ensure that they are adhering to compliance regimes and to assist them in identifying and rectifying any breaches.
Sanj's skill and creativity allow him to implement the most strategic and effective courses of action to best position his clients for success at trial, arbitration and mediation. He also has extensive experience in obtaining urgent, injunctive relief for his clients when they are facing significant damages due to the unlawful conduct of others.
Sanj has extensive experience advocating for his clients’ interests in Ontario’s trial and appellate courts, before administrative tribunals, at private arbitrations and at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Sanj is an Adjunct
Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and part of the faculty that teaches trial
advocacy to law students. He is also an instructor at the Intensive Trial
Advocacy Workshop, an annual course offered by Osgoode Professional Development
and York University, which teaches lawyers advanced trial advocacy techniques.
