Sanj is a member of the firm's Litigation, Financial Services and Transportation Groups. His practice encompasses all aspects of commercial litigation with a major focus on competition law, insolvency, commercial lease, shareholders' disputes and class actions. Sanj has appeared as counsel on motions, applications and trials on the Commercial List and in the Superior Court of Justice, and as counsel on appeals in the Divisional Court and before the Court of Appeal.
Representing clients before various administrative boards and tribunals in Ontario, he has developed a niche practice in defending individuals and private companies charged with regulatory offences pursuant to provincial statutes including the Fisheries Act, Pesticides Act and the Environmental Protection Act and acts for commercial carriers charged with offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
Sanj engages in pro bono work through the Child Advocacy Program sponsored by The Advocates' Society, Pro Bono Law Ontario and Justice for Children and Youth.
