Daniel advises clients on financial and commercial matters, taking the time to understand their goals and priorities. He enjoys working closely with clients, colleagues and other professionals and brings a collaborative, detail-oriented perspective to his work. Daniel is drawn to the role finance plays in supporting business growth and operations and values helping clients address challenges and opportunities that affect their businesses.
Daniel is a member of the firm's Financial Services Group. His practice includes financing transactions, restructurings, insolvency matters and a range of commercial arrangements. Daniel assists clients with lending transactions and other commercial matters, contributing to both transactional and dispute-related files.
Daniel is recognized for his publications related to the practice of law. His article, "Good Enough Isn’t Good Enough: How the Court of Appeal for Ontario Failed to Recognize the Complex Dynamics of Family Violence in Ahluwalia v. Ahluwalia," published by the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review, was cited by the Supreme Court of Canada in its decision in Ahluwalia v. Ahluwalia, 2026 SCC 16.
Daniel joined Aird & Berlis as an associate after summering and articling at the firm.
