Marni Pernica Named Member of TIAETL and Receives STEP Toronto Volunteer of the Year Award

We are proud to share that Marni Pernica has been named a Member of The International Academy of Estate & Trust Law ("TIAETL"). She is also the recipient of this year's STEP Toronto Volunteer of the Year Award. 

Marni is Co-Leader of the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Private Client Groups, and a member of the Tax Group. She works closely with her clients to provide them with practical, thoughtful advice regarding their estate plan. Clients appreciate Marni’s strong relationship-building skills and reputation as a thought-leader, and trust her because they are comfortable confiding in her and confident in her ability to advise them effectively.

Marni has been involved with multiple professional organizations, including the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Toronto Branch Executive and Canada Education Committee, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the OBA Trusts and Estates Section. She also sits on the professional advisory committee of the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and is Chair of the Osgoode Hall Law School Intensive Program in Wills & Estates.

These accomplishments join a long list of Marni's accolades, including the 2025 UJA Professional Advisors Award of Excellence, 2023 Hoffstein Book Prize (OBA Trusts & Estates Section) and 2022 Lexpert Rising Star Award: Canada's Leading Lawyers Under 40.
