LGBTQ2+ Pride in Our Workplace and the Community at Large

Our Commitment to the LGBTQ2+ Community

Aird & Berlis is unwavering in its commitment to the LGBTQ2+ community. For several years, we have proudly sponsored the Out On Bay Street conference and supported Egale Canada as part of our broader, ongoing efforts to advance inclusion, equity and belonging. This commitment also extends into our business practices, including working with vendors, entertainers and thought leaders from the community as part of our standard procurement approach.

Building Inclusion in the Workplace

We believe meaningful inclusion goes beyond community sponsorship. It also means creating opportunities within our workplace for members of the LGBTQ2+ community and allies to connect regularly, share perspectives and discuss the issues that matter most to them.

Leadership and Ongoing Engagement

Our LGBTQ2+ Firm Member Resource Group is led by firm partners Naomi Mares and Jeremy Nemers in collaboration with our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Office. Together, they help foster pride and connection throughout the year by:

  • hosting recurring meetings
  • planning educational events
  • organizing social gatherings that strengthen community and belonging
