Aird & Berlis Welcomes Luke Chao, Lisa Donaghy, Adèle Gagnon-Leroux and David Yanofsky

We are pleased to welcome Luke Chao, Lisa Donaghy, Adèle Gagnon-Leroux and David Yanofsky to the firm. Lisa is an associate in our Real Estate Group. Luke, Adèle and David are associates in our Tax Group.

Luke brings a client-centred approach to his tax practice, grounded in a strong understanding of the individuals and businesses he advises. His practice includes tax planning, resolving tax disputes and providing guidance on the tax aspects of corporate and commercial transactions.

Lisa helps clients advance their real estate transactions and navigate the legal considerations that shape them. Her practice encompasses a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, development, asset management and real estate structuring.

Adèle advises high-net-worth families and business owners on tax planning, estate planning and wealth transfer strategies. She assists clients with estate and charitable giving plans, domestic and offshore trust structures, and buy-sell agreements. Adèle's work also includes estate freezes, capital gains exemption planning, post-mortem tax planning and corporate and trust distribution planning.

David brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to nuanced tax matters. He assists corporations and private individuals with tax planning and tax litigation matters, drawing on his experience working on high-profile transactions to assess issues from multiple angles and help clients navigate evolving tax considerations.
