Shruti practises exclusively at the intersection of Aboriginal law and Indigenous legal orders, working closely with Indigenous communities, governments and organizations to find innovative solutions that protect their rights and advance their vision of self-determination. She brings a person-centred approach to her practice, building longstanding relationships with the clients she serves and providing them with tailored, results-oriented guidance.

Shruti is a member of the firm's Indigenous Practice Group. Her practice focuses on providing governance support to Indigenous communities, advising on advancing their inherent rights to self government and supporting nation based, community led governance structures grounded in Indigenous legal traditions. In her advocacy work, Shruti appears before courts and tribunals on various Aboriginal law and regulatory matters, including those connected to historic claims, grievances and the duty to consult. She is passionately committed to assisting her Indigenous clients in creating lasting change and righting historical wrongs.

Prior to joining Aird & Berlis, Shruti articled and practised at a national law firm and with the Indigenous Justice Division of the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.
