Shannon Morris is a law clerk in the firm’s Financial Services Group, specializing in financial services and restructuring and insolvency. She has extensive and in depth experience in matters relating to the Personal Property Security Act and assists with corporate and commercial lending transactions, including asset-based, syndicated, secured and mezzanine lending and subordinated debt. Shannon also assists with corporate proceedings for private, public and foreign corporations, limited partnerships and income trusts.

Shannon arranges lien and other due diligence searches and filings in all provinces and territories across Canada and is familiar with Uniform Commercial Code searches and filings. She drafts and prepares loan and security reviews, search summaries, and transaction documentation. Shannon also assists in making sure that closings are completed seamlessly and on time by preparing necessary closing materials, managing closing logistics and organizing record books.

Acted for Stonebridge Financial Corporation, a Toronto-based financial services firm with a focus on financial advisory and arranging of project financings in the infrastructure and energy sectors, in the onboarding of new officers to its executive leadership team.

Assisted legal counsel in their representation of San Cristobal Mining Inc., a private mining company formed under the laws of British Columbia, in its acquisition of Minera San Cristóbal S.A. and all associated assets from Sumitomo Corporation, as well as a related equity financing and two debt financings.
