Pavle focuses on construction arbitration and litigation. With a wealth of experience in resolving complex construction disputes, he brings a strategic approach and deep expertise to achieve favourable outcomes. Pavle is dedicated to delivering efficient and pragmatic legal counsel to clients across the construction spectrum, including owners, contractors, design professionals and sureties.
Pavle is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Construction Groups. His practice spans a wide range of construction disputes, encompassing major infrastructure projects (light rail systems, transit stations, mines and refineries) as well as landmark high-rise residential and mixed-use developments in Toronto and Ottawa. He advises on issues such as delay claims, deficiencies, designer negligence, fee disputes, construction liens and breach of trust actions. Pavle is also adept at navigating disputes involving intricate technical aspects, such as building envelope design, concrete deficiencies, trackwork and subsurface utility engineering investigation and relocation.
Pavle’s arbitration experience includes disputes under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC) and ad hoc rules. These cases have involved various project delivery methods, such as P3 and design-build-finance-maintain (DBFM), engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM), and design-build contracts.
