Matthew likes solving problems. He draws on his clerkship experience to deliver strategic litigation advice, particularly on appeals and administrative law matters. Matthew takes a candid approach to his advocacy and is resourceful in resolving his clients’ disputes.

Matthew is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. He maintains a general litigation practice, and has experience representing a range of private and public sector clients, including corporations and municipalities.

Matthew graduated as gold medallist from Western Law, and he summered and articled at Aird & Berlis. After completing his articles, Matthew clerked for Justice Pepall, Justice Lauwers, and Justice Miller of the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Representative Matters

Represented Linamar Corporation in its acquisition of Bourgault Industries Ltd., a leading agricultural equipment manufacturer, for $640 million. In conjunction with the Bourgault transaction closing, Linamar also finalized a new $700-million term loan agreement.
