Lipi is a litigator who advises clients on disputes, risk-management issues and the everyday challenges of running a business. She takes the time to understand each client's goals and the industries in which they operate, allowing her to provide guidance that reflects their particular circumstances and priorities. Lipi builds long-term relationships rooted in trust, helping clients navigate difficult situations and approach important legal and business decisions with confidence.
Lipi is a member of the firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. She has a particular focus on advising technology clients on data protection issues, cybersecurity and intermediary liability matters. Lipi's broader practice spans commercial disputes and crisis-management matters, including securities litigation, regulatory enforcement proceedings, internal investigations and class action defence. She also advises clients on shareholder disputes, corporate governance issues and oppression claims. Lipi has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario and has represented clients across a wide range of industries, including technology, financial services and pharmaceuticals sectors.
Beyond her client work, Lipi is actively involved in the legal and broader community. She serves on the boards of the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto (SABA) and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA), mentors junior lawyers and regularly contributes to pro bono initiatives. Lipi values opportunities to share her experience, support causes she cares about and build meaningful connections both within and beyond the profession.
