Katie advises clients on financing and lending matters by integrating legal, financial and business considerations to support practical outcomes. She values clear, dependable communication and works collaboratively across practice areas to support complex transactions. Katie’s adaptable approach helps her deliver results in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.

Katie is a member of the firm’s Financial Services Group. Her practice includes advising both financial institutions and corporate borrowers on a wide range of national and cross-border transactions. Katie works on syndicated and bilateral loan arrangements, asset-based lending and asset and equipment financing and leasing. She also advises on financing structures that support ongoing operations, acquisitions and project-specific initiatives.

Katie joined Aird & Berlis as an associate after summering and articling at the firm, where she previously worked as a legal assistant and law clerk in the Tax Group.

Representative Matters

Represented Sencap Partners Inc., as financial advisor and administrative agent, and The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company in a series of construction financings, alongside Building Ontario Fund, to support the development of long-term care homes in Amherstburg, Windsor, Prescott, Perth and Lancaster, Ontario. These financings represent approximately $265 million in credit facilities.
