Kate approaches litigation matters calmly and attentively, helping clients navigate even the most stressful situations with confidence. She works closely with them to grasp the complexities of their disputes and leverages her strategic insight to develop creative strategies that respond to the unique circumstances of each case.

Kate is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Construction Groups. Her general litigation practice encompasses a wide range of corporate-commercial matters such as shareholder disputes, oppression claims and partnership disagreements, as well as land and real estate litigation. Kate also advises on employment, construction and infrastructure issues, and acts in regulatory proceedings where she represents both prosecution and defence.

Kate has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Alberta and Saskatchewan Courts of King’s Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal and various administrative tribunals, including the Consent and Capacity Board and the Human Rights Tribunal.
