Cory is the firm's Senior Manager of Student & Associate Programs. He works on all aspects of the firm’s student program, including the recruitment, supervision and professional development of summer and articling students, and liaising with law schools. While Cory’s focus is the firm’s student program, he also supports the firm’s associate program, including career development, performance reviews, mentoring, coaching and lateral recruitment.
Before joining Aird & Berlis, Cory was an associate at another leading Bay Street law firm, in its Tax and Private Client Group. He advised clients on a range of tax matters, including domestic and cross-border reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, as well as general tax and estate planning. In addition to his tax practice, Cory was actively involved in the firm’s student program, serving as a mentor, doing outreach at various law schools and participating in recruitment.
Cory has a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he was recognized with various awards for academic excellence and exceptional contributions to the law school community. He also has a Bachelor of Science (Honours, with Distinction) from Western University.
Cory is a member of the firm’s Student Recruitment Committee, Associates Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
