Clement helps clients address municipal and planning matters with thoughtful, client-focused advice that reflects their business needs and the communities in which they operate. He brings strong communication skills to his work, taking the time to understand each client's unique circumstances and provide advice tailored to their goals. Clement is drawn to the role municipal law plays in local governance, accountability and community decision-making, and enjoys helping clients work through issues that influence how communities grow and evolve.
Clement is a member of the firm's Municipal, Land Use Planning & Development Group. His practice focuses on municipal accountability matters, including municipal powers and jurisdiction, ethics and governance. Clement also assists clients on land development matters, supporting projects through various stages of the development process.
Prior to joining Aird & Berlis, Clement articled with the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and subsequently practised there as Counsel. He also gained experience with the Office of the Ontario Ombudsman, building a strong foundation in public sector and municipal matters.
