Anna is a member of the firm’s Municipal & Land Use Planning Group. Her practice is focused on land use planning and development, as well as expropriation matters across Ontario. Anna regularly advises landowners, developers, institutional clients and municipalities on all stages of the planning process, including official plan and zoning by-law amendments, plans of subdivision, minor variances, consents, and other development approvals under the Planning Act.
Anna also provides strategic advice on development charges, priority transit project issues, ministerial zoning orders, Ontario Heritage Act matters, and sign permit applications and appeals, assisting clients in advancing residential, mixed-use and infrastructure projects through Ontario’s evolving land use planning framework. She represents clients before the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Divisional Court, and the Committee of Adjustment, combining strong advocacy with practical, solutions-oriented guidance to achieve timely and effective planning outcomes.
Anna maintains an active expropriations practice, acting for both expropriating authorities and affected landowners in all stages of the expropriations process arising from public infrastructure and transit projects. Anna’s integrated planning and expropriation experience allows her to advise clients on approvals and takings issues throughout the life cycle of development and infrastructure initiatives.
Anna is currently serving as a Member-at-Large on the executive of the Ontario Bar Association, Municipal Law Section, and regularly contributes to publications such as The Digest of Municipal and Planning Law.
