About
Alex advises developers, business owners, investors and lenders on the complex real estate transactions that shape growing communities and drive investment. Alex offers practical, business-oriented legal advice that advances her clients’ commercial objectives and helps them navigate the realities of development projects. She is particularly passionate about supporting women in business and building long-term relationships with entrepreneurs and founder-led businesses through each stage of growth.
Alex is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Group and Financial Services Group. She regularly advises developers and real estate investment companies throughout the lifecycle of development projects, from land acquisition and structuring through financing, construction and disposition, with a particular focus on condominium and subdivision law and joint ventures. She also represents private and institutional lenders in connection with acquisition, construction and long-term financing for a broad range of real estate assets.
Before practising law, Alex built a career in the international art world and earned a Master of Arts in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York. That experience continues to shape her approach to advising clients, particularly those operating at the intersection of luxury real estate, design, art and entrepreneurship, where legal strategy and commercial vision often go hand in hand.
