Aleks advises clients on commercial real estate transactions, protecting their interests and working through challenges to get deals across the finish line. She focuses on her clients' goals and uses commercial judgment to identify workable solutions when legal issues arise. Aleks often manages multiple parties and competing priorities to give clients clear and timely advice so they can make informed decisions with confidence. She values the varied nature of real estate work and the opportunity to see the tangible impact of each transaction.

Aleks is a member of the firm's Real Estate Group. She advises clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, financing and leasing.  Aleks' clients include institutional investors and owners, such as pension funds and real estate investment trusts (REITs), as well as developers of residential, mixed-use, industrial and commercial projects. She guides clients through every stage of a transaction, from due diligence and title review through to closing. On the financing side, Aleks acts for senior and mezzanine lenders and for borrowers, with a particular focus on construction financing. She also has a substantial leasing practice and represents landlords and tenants in the office, retail and industrial sectors.

Complementing her real estate practice, Aleks has experience with various specialized deals and projects, including significant merger and acquisition transactions, public-private partnerships, green energy projects, senior housing and the privatization of gaming facilities.
