Rachel Blumenfeld Named Chair of STEP Canada

Congratulations to Rachel Blumenfeld on her appointment as Chair of STEP Canada for the 2023-2025 term.

The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) is a global professional body that comprises lawyers, accountants, financial advisors and other practitioners that help families plan for their futures. STEP currently has over 20,000 members worldwide, with over 3,500 in Canada. Full STEP members, known as 'TEPs' are internationally recognized as experts in their field.

Rachel has served in many capacities for STEP over the last 16 years, including as Deputy Chair, Secretary and Director at Large of STEP Canada, Chair of the National Conference and as a member of the STEP Toronto Executive. She was the recipient of the STEP Founder’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in 2021, the STEP Canada Michael Cadesky Volunteer of the Year Award in 2018 and the STEP Toronto Volunteer of the Year Award in 2016.

Rachel is a member of the firm’s Tax and Estates & Trusts Groups and serves as Co-Chair of the Charity & Not-for-Profit Law Group. She was recently named Best Lawyers' 2022 "Lawyer of the Year" in Trusts and Estates. The firm congratulates Rachel on her new role with STEP Canada.
