Dasha Peregoudova Named the 2026 TLA Emerging Excellence Award Recipient

We are proud to announce that Dasha Peregoudova has been named the recipient of the 2026 Toronto Lawyers Association (TLA) Emerging Excellence Award. This prestigious honour will be presented at the TLA Awards Gala on February 26, 2026. The Emerging Excellence Award recognizes a Toronto lawyer in practice for 10 years or less who exemplifies leadership or innovation in advancing the TLA’s three pillars of Knowledge, Advocacy and Community.

Dasha is a confident and compassionate litigator with a focus on labour and employment law. As a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Workplace Law, and Sports, Media & Entertainment Groups, she advises on employment and labour matters, human rights issues and workplace accessibility. She is trusted for conducting policy, ethical and statute-driven investigations for a wide range of clients.

As a former Canadian national team athlete, two-time Pan American champion and long-time athlete advocate and trusted sport advisor, Dasha assists athletes and artists, as well as the organizations that champion them, with a focus on governance. She currently holds the position of Director of Sanctions and Outcomes for Abuse-Free Sport, Canada's Independent Safe Sport Mechanism, and is the Diversity and Inclusion Officer of the International Bar Association’s North American Regional Forum. She is also Vice-Chair of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers' (CACE) Corporate Commercial Transactions Committee.
