Angela Swan Presented With Honorary Degree From York University
Congratulations to Angela Swan, Counsel at Aird and Berlis, who received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from York University on Friday, June 20.
Angela is an award-winning scholar and one of Canada’s foremost experts on contract law. She is co-author of a leading textbook on contracts and has been cited with approval by the Supreme Court of Canada and other courts of appeal. Angela holds law degrees from Oxford and the University of British Columbia and has taught and practised for more than 50 years. In 2021, she received an honorary degree from McGill University and was appointed Officer of the Order of Canada. Angela has been recognized by the Law Society of Ontario (Honorary Doctor of Laws) and Ontario Bar Association (Award for Distinguished Service) for her extraordinary career and many contributions to the legal profession.
