Angela Swan Appointed Officer of the Order of Canada
Aird & Berlis is honoured to announce that Angela Swan has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada. With over 50 years of experience practising and teaching law, Angela plays an invaluable role as counsel to the firm’s lawyers. She is an award-winning scholar and one of Canada’s foremost experts on contract law. Angela is co-author of the leading textbook on contracts, which has been cited with approval by the Supreme Court of Canada and other courts of appeal. Angela has been recognized by Governor General Mary Simon "for her long-standing contributions to the legal profession, particularly in the area of contract law, as a professor, lawyer, author and mentor."
The Order of Canada is one of the highest honours bestowed on Canadians, in recognition of their significant contributions to the community and the nation. Angela is highly deserving of this prestigious honour. Congratulations Angela!
