CPD Information: 1 Substantive Hour for Lawyers, 1 Hour for HRPA and CHRP Members

Daria (Dasha) Peregoudova and Alex Kagan

ACCESS ARCHIVE

Under the legal requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), organizations with 20 or more employees in Ontario must submit an accessibility compliance report by June 30, 2021. The accessibility compliance report consists of all efforts made by an organization to ensure web accessibility based on specific international standards called the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG). WCAG became a requirement for organizations with 50 or more employees in Ontario as of January 1, 2021.

Join members of the Aird & Berlis Workplace Law Group as they discuss best practices and provide practical tips with respect to web accessibility and other AODA obligations.

Topics include:

Web accessibility guidelines, exceptions and penalties

DOs and DON’Ts for meeting web accessibility standards

Filing accessibility compliance reports
