Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act: Legal Compliance with Web Accessibility and Accessibility Compliance Reports

Under the legal requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), organizations with 20 or more employees in Ontario must submit an accessibility compliance report by June 30, 2021. The accessibility compliance report consists of all efforts made by an organization to ensure web accessibility based on specific international standards called the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG). WCAG became a requirement for organizations with 50 or more employees in Ontario as of January 1, 2021.
