Ontario Robotics Firm has Venture Capital Success
Kitchener's Clearpath Robotics has just raised $14 million in venture capital. According to the CBC, the company aims to improve its software to focus on the automation of wheeled devises. In the words of Clearpath CEO, Matt Rendall, "If it's got four wheels, we want to automate it." The company, which has a mandate of "ethical robot production," sees large potential expansion opportunities in mining, agriculture and materials handlings.
