Aird & Berlis partners Fred Cass, Ron Clark and David Stevens are among the leading lawyers named in the Lexpert Special Edition: Energy 2020.

Fred is Co-Chair of the Aird & Berlis Energy Group and a member of the firm's Litigation Group. He has practised in the energy and energy regulatory field for over 35 years and has developed deep expertise and knowledge in this area. Fred is a well-regarded energy lawyer who literally wrote the book on Ontario energy law. He is actively sought by participants in regulatory proceedings to provide advice with regard to policy and strategy. 

Ron is a member of the firm's Energy and Corporate/Commercial Groups. David is Practice Group Leader of the firm's Litigation Group and member of the Energy Group. He has deep and broad knowledge about energy regulation in Ontario. For almost 20 years, David has advised gas and electric utilities, and other participants in Ontario’s electricity market, on a wide range of regulatory and commercial issues, and regularly appears before the Ontario Energy Board. Among other things, he assists clients with ratemaking applications, policy consultations, compliance issues, licencing, Measurement Canada issues and regulatory strategy.
