Cantech Investment Conference partners with The Next Big Thing to offer exciting new Emerging Startup Competition for young entrepreneurs

Posted in News

At this year's Cantech Investment Conference (held in Toronto on January 26 2016), four selected emerging startups will compete against each other to see who will be The Next Big Thing.

The prize? Cash, exposure to thousands of tech investors attending the conference and a position with The Next Big Thing's National Fellowship Program. This Program provides mentorship, experiential learning, a supportive peer network and a "no strings attached workspace and support services."

How to apply? If you are an emerging Canadian startup and are interested in applying, the requirement is to submit a one minute pitch video, limited to 250 words, explaining why you are "The Next Big Thing." These entries should be emailed to nick@cantechletter.com between October 20th and December 15th. Entries will be posted to Cantech Letter as they arrive.

Who can apply? The competition is open to all Canadian tech companies "who have five or fewer employees, have not raised more than $500,000 in seed capital, and whose founder and co-founders are 23-years-old or younger."

If you are planning to submit an application, best of luck!
