2015 Startup Fashion Week

From October 5th to 9th, 2015, Startup Fashion Week ("SFW") will be taking place in Toronto. SFW features a variety of events offering guests the opportunity to participate and take in full-day conferences, runway showcases, workshops and VIP receptions, all tailored to entrepreneurs looking to in make it in the fashion industry.

On October 6th, as part of SFW, Graham Topa of Aird & Berlis LLP, an associate in the firm's Corporate Finance Group, will give a presentation at the "Business Fashion Conference" taking place at  BrightLane, located at 545 King Street West, Toronto. Graham's presentation, titled "Legal Considerations for Startups," will highlight key legal considerations that entrepreneurs and founders in the fashion industry should be aware of while starting and growing their businesses.

Aird & Berlis LLP will be hosting the "Fashion Career Forum" on October 7th as part of SFW, at its offices located in Brookfield Place at 181 Bay Street, Toronto. Hosted by Elle Bulger, social media expert at McGregor Socks, the Fashion Career Forum will feature panel discussions on a variety of career options that are part of the fashion industry and offer attendees the opportunity to get insight into the fashion industry from an array of panelists with professional experience.

Individuals are able to attend the following SFW events:

  • October 5th - Official SFW Opening Party
  • October 6th - Business of Fashion Conference
  • October 7th - Fashion Career Forum
  • October 8th - Fashion Tech Forum
  • October 9th - Future of Fashion Runway Show / Closing Party
