The Electrification of Transportation:
When Will "the Future" Arrive?

Date: Thursday, May 18, 2017
Time: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. ET

How we move people and transport goods is constantly evolving in response to technology, government policy, costs and changes to infrastructure. For most of us, the idea of the electrification of transportation transcended the pages of science fiction novels ages ago, and yet implementation on a large scale has remained elusive. Now, however, Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan has put transportation squarely at the centre of the province’s greenhouse gas reduction strategy.

What does the electrification of transportation mean for Ontario’s energy sector? Join our speakers as they discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with:

  • Increased use of electric cars
  • Commercial, residential and en route charging stations
  • Electric transit buses
