Clare A. Sullivan

Clare is well-known for building exceptional relationships with clients. She is driven by the connections that she makes with them on an emotional level and provides them with an empathetic source of support. As an estate planning expert, Clare helps her clients make some of life’s toughest decisions by giving them well-thought-out, practical options.

Clare is a member of the firm's Tax Group. Her practice focuses on estate and tax planning, succession planning, including cross-border planning, wills, trusts, estate administration, domestic contracts, and related areas of tax law. 

She provides advice to business owners concerning personal tax, succession and estate planning. Clare also acts for individuals with foreign residency and citizenship issues affecting their estates and succession planning, often working with tax and estate advisers in other jurisdictions.

Clare has represented many trust and estate beneficiaries, including foreign beneficiaries, in the resolution of disputes and litigation support. She advises fiduciaries and beneficiaries of estates and trusts, acts as counsel in related litigation matters, and provides counsel to professional fiduciaries, including banks and trust companies. She has also advised on commercial trusts such as mutual fund trusts and income trusts as well as advice to families on issues of guardianship and powers of attorney.
