Congratulations to Denis Shapovalov

Aird & Berlis is proud to sponsor Denis Shapovalov, an 18-year old tennis sensation from Richmond Hill, Ontario. We congratulate Denis who enjoyed great success at the Rogers Cup in Montreal this past week. Due to his strong showing, Denis moved up 76 places and is now ranked 67th in the world.

On Thursday, Denis beat top-seeded Rafael Nadal to advance to the quarter-finals. He then beat France’s Adrian Mannarino on Friday night for a spot in the semifinals, where he faced Alexander Zverev. Despite a strong battle, Denis lost to Zverev, the eventual Rogers Cup champion who beat Roger Federer to claim the title.

Denis became the youngest man to reach the final four in the history of the Rogers Cup and the youngest ATP World Tour Masters 1000 semifinalist ever. Denis also became the youngest to beat a player ranked in the top two in the world since Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer in 2004 in Miami.

We look forward to supporting Denis as he continues his rise up the ranks!
