Chris practises in all areas of municipal law, including land use planning and development, environmental law, administrative law/litigation, development charges, educational development charges, user fees and charges, municipal finance, conflicts of interest, municipal restructuring, building code matters and bylaw prosecutions and defence. He regularly appears before municipal councils and committees, the Ontario Municipal Board, the Assessment Review Board and all levels of courts in Ontario. He represents a number of public and private-sector clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Chris was Director of Planning and Development Law Division, Law Department, City of Scarborough, where he was responsible for all planning, real estate, development and expropriation matters involving the city. Upon his call to the bar, he was a solicitor with the legal branch of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Province of Ontario, dealing with a variety of municipal issues of importance to the province.
