Home > About Us > Accessibility in Ontario

The Ontario government enacted the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act in 2005. This act lays the framework for the development of province-wide mandatory standards on accessibility in all areas of daily life.

The government''s Accessibility Standard for Customer Service applies to all organizations (public, private and non-profit) that provide goods or services either directly to the public or to other organizations in Ontario and that have one or more employees in Ontario.

Aird & Berlis LLP is committed to providing an accessible environment in which all individuals have access to the firm’s services in a manner that positively reinforces client service. A&B is also committed to giving people with disabilities equal opportunity to access and use our services, and to allowing them to benefit from the same services, in the same place and in the same or similar manner as other clients.

Service Animals are permitted on our premises. A person requiring a service animal is required to stay with that service animal at all times.

Support Persons – When assisting a person with a disability at a firm event where a fee is charged, there is no additional charge for the support person to attend. The person requiring assistance needs to advise the firm in advance of their support person’s attendance (in addition to their own).
